Token holder security checklist

A straightforward checklist for identifying impersonation, fake migration portals and risky wallet requests.

EURC Editorial · October 2026 · Educational information

Project transition details may change. For verified announcements, use the official Telegram channel. Never share private keys or recovery phrases.

Security notices can attract impersonators. During a project transition, attackers may post fake contract addresses, imitation support accounts, or fraudulent wallet-connection pages.

Use official communication channels

Navigate to the project's Telegram channel using a saved bookmark or the link on the official website. Verify that any announcement is consistent across the project's official channels.

Protect your recovery phrase

Never share your wallet seed phrase, private key, or recovery phrase. Legitimate project administrators do not need this information to help with a token transition.

Understand wallet prompts

Connecting a wallet is different from signing a message, approving a token spender, or sending a transaction. Read each prompt and its permissions. An unlimited approval can create significant risk.

Do not rush

Be skeptical of unverified claims of immediate deadlines, guaranteed recovery, or compulsory wallet connections. At the time of this website edition, EURC has not published a confirmed holder migration procedure here.
